A Festschrift in honor of the scientific contributions of Les Cohen

An outstanding group of developmental scientists will present state-of-the-art research on infant cognition, focusing on theories and approaches with roots in traditional information-processing theory, incorporating advances in computational modeling, cognitive neuroscience, and observations about developmental change in infancy and early childhood. Each speaker will show how modern understanding and theories of some aspect of cognitive or perceptual development in infancy and early childhood is based on historical models of the human information-processing system (either in adults or infants), but has evolved beyond these roots to incorporate modern theories in cognitive science, computational models of cognitive development and cognitive abilities, advances in cognitive neuroscience, as well as research findings from infants and adults.
